Die “Woolmen” settled 1635 from the Ulm area, where they worked as weapon smiths and were very well known, to the Bohemian Forest. The world-famous one was created there at the time “Bohemian glass- and jewelry industry” and all “Woolmen” have been in this industry for centuries up 1945 worked.

During World War II the family was expelled and came to Austria via the glass industry stations in the Soviet Zone (Linz and Salzburg) before you go in the year 1949 decided to emigrate to Argentina. There two glass factories were operated independently until the civil war of that year 1976 destroyed everything and the family line Hubert Ullmann moved to Germany and in the year 1978 settled down in Osterhofen/Lower Bavaria. A glassworks was initially operated there, die 1982 merged into the Ullmannglass. In the course of the generational handover 2019 Ullmannglass GmbH was founded.

Ullmannglass has three business areas: Glass production of articles up to 500 Gram weight according to traditional “Gablonzer Art”; Purchasing office for tableware goods for non-European companies in Europe and a consulting department dealing with company analyses, -renovations, -takeovers and sales.

In this latter department were, starting at 1991, to date about 30 companies of glass- and Porcelain Industry sold. These factories are in Europe, Located in Asia and the USA.
